So Black History Month is week.  I always love the BHM edition of kicks that Nike does.  I drew inspiration from the Superfly's from last year for this week's challenge:

The patterns on the upper reminded me of the kente cloth pattern, which we've employed in a design collaboration with Philadelphia Union forward, CJ Sapong a few years back: 

What I did was combine our One Nation tee with the Kente tank top to create the Black History Month sketch for this week:


To be quite honest with you, they're both still very conceptual and not quite as fleshed out as I'd like them.  This one, however, is much closer to a final product, even though it's missing the African inspiration and, instead, is a monochromatic version of an existing product.
